Discussion Highlights:
To start the session we explored our stories about:
- When have we successfully set an intention? What did we learn?
- What have we learned when we have set intentions that didn't materialize yet?
What is intention?
- focused
- direction setting
- bigger than a goal
- connection to spirit
- being open
What level of intention do we set? How much of myself will I invest in this intention?
Intention can start with a thought, "Wouldn't it be cool if....?"
Attention-Intention-Pacing Balance-Blended-Harmonious
The importance of making it public; getting it out of our heads and owning it to someone else.
Intentions may lead us to:
- accomplish a goal
- be more open
- take care of self (say "no")
- set a liveline (not a deadline)
Elements of Intention
- Co-creation with nature
- Alignment of heart, mind and spirit
- Action from the intention (act "as if")
- Making it public shows ownership
- Ask for help/support from a place of strength; surrender (no victimhood)
- Recognizing and Accepting what shows up
- Alignment of all our "parts"; internal voices/personas must agree to create focused clarity
Levels or Continuum of Intention:
(no action or thought of action) Reverie->Intention (conscious intention setting with actions)->Manifestation (recognizing the outcome)
But maybe it's more of a spiral path to our Soul's Intention
How do we anchor it? with intention at the core
In our group we identified our own Soul's Intentions
(see the mind map photo on Ted's Flickr page)
- Centered with Invitiation
- Gratitude -- thanksgiving --seeking blessings
- Choices--our own and others'
- Connecting to My Highest Good--community healing
- Community

- Learning--dispelling ignorance--gaining wisdom
- Seeking "juice" and mentoring
- Co-Creation--the wisdom of nature
Final Questions:
- What do we love?
- What have we learned about setting intention for what we love?
In the Continuum:
- Energy is there
- Re-membering
- Timing - when the student is ready the teacher will come
- Holding the Question focuses learning and attention
