 English Version
Session : “What is the purpose of Open Space Institut France?”

It’s vision ? Under what hat, in which basket can we put the objectives defined in the project of the by-laws? Defining clearly the purpose will allow the verbalisation of the federative element, what unites us and brings sustainability to the Institut and its projects.

Three participants from the beggining with the arrival of a fourth person in the middle of the session.

What does Open Space represent? A humanist approach with :

An effective approach with : An approach allowing uncovering unsuspected elements, highlighting “what we don’t know we don’t know”.

We come from various backgrounds, are drawn to Open Space by differents aspects of it, creativity, efficiency. So what is the common trunk in which we can all recognise ourselves (not in terms of actions by through a more general vision)

Using a well-known slogan : “Discovering the vitality in ourselves and using it”

The session ended with a question that can be understood in various ways. “Why Institut Open Space France and not French Institut of participatory methods or Institut X?”

N.B. For Geneviève Treille the question is a provocative question that can bring to light the specificity of the Open Space Institut France. What is there that will enable us to be attached to this Institut, invest ourselves in it and act for its development and promotion?
