A WikiWord is any word that has two or more non-consecutive capital letters in it. WikiWords are the seeds of new pages. WikiWords? name pages.
Make a WikiWord in any page by capitalizing first letters and sliding words together without spaces. If that page name does not yet exist, your wiki word will be followed by a question mark link. Click the link. Add some text. Save. Now your WikiWord will appear as a link to your new page.
Some Considerations...
- Shorter words work better. They fit into the flow of text. They're easier to type.
Alternatives to WikiWords
- use "[[" and "]]" to bracket any text to make it a WikiWord. This makes WikiWords? with spaces and/or no capitals or all capitals.
- use "[" and "]" to make outside links in this form: [url linktext]. URL is the full http... webpage address of the page you want to link. Linktext is what you want your link to say. Brackets around and space between the two parts will make a link that looks like this: [linktext].
- consider using SubPages for groups of issues posted into a single conference or project page.
